Dear Jenia,
For a long time I haven’t seen such a joy in dancing since I saw you on the dance floor. It was so inspiring to watch your group dancing. You were smiling all the time when you moved along with the Lindy hop! And when I watched that joy, I suddenly had this picture in my mind:
I saw you surrounded by black and red roses.
”She looks like a spanish senorita”, i said to my friend. That vision included red roses around you and you dancing in the middle of them. I knew that if I can have your joy of dancing captured in a picture we could create almost anything.
I didn’t know that you were from Estonia when I gave you that card. But that came out when you wrote me back. And I’m grateful that you wrote. I told you about my vision of you and gladly you were in! You sounded like an adventurous spirit.
It was such a cold day in October when we met! It was almost freezing. And after few shots, my camera broke! But luckily I had my second camera with me. When we found that wall full of red autumn colored leaves, I knew we found a perfect shooting spot for you. Though red leaves were perfect enough for my vision, I still wanted those roses around you. And after I added roses into those vine branches, place suddenly started to remind a scene from sleeping beauty. How cool was that! Like a little fairytale in the middle on crowded Helsinki…
Thank you Jenia, for being dancing queen of my ”Näen Sinussa” series.

Card says: ”I gave you this, because I see something special in You”. People in this series are persons who I have randomly walked into and who have given me some kind of vision in my head.
